Within the Security division, Deutsche Schutz- und Wachdienst GmbH + Co. KG (DSW) has continued to develop as a specialist in matters of aviation security, offering a comprehensive range of services.
In 1974, DSW became the first private contractor to take over mandatory passenger screening at Berlin-Tempelhof and Berlin-Tegel airports. For more than 35 years now, we have been exercising public authority powers at German airports and are therefore the first and oldest private contractor in the German aviation security sector. We have built up a long-term partnership with all the authorities involved in aviation security such as the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Police, major airports and well-known airlines.
The real terror threat posed by extremist networks and the continued destabilisation of the general security situation make it necessary to take preventive actions by increasing the quality and quantity of security measures.
We meet the ever-growing requirements by strategically focusing on the provision of first-class training and education for our employees working in the aviation security sector as well as safeguarding the processes for the smooth provision of services.
The secret to our success is based on adhering to the fundamentally important process chain ‘personnel recruitment – training – performance and further education’, in short:
the human factor.
