Planning, concept, project management

We'll take a closer look at the energy management approach invested by your company. The following questions will need to be answered: How can we improve your processes? Can we further cement the concept of energy management in your company? What do you need to do to ensure standards are maintained? Once you have the answers to these questions, it will be possible to positively impact resource management and cost planning. We'll then take responsibility for the planning, design and management of your energy management project – fully in line with your requirements. You benefit in many ways:

  • Saving potential: our experts analyse your energy consumption and are able to determine exactly where improvements can be made. For example, using thermal imaging cameras and thermography videos. On this basis, they will draw up catalogues of measures which can be reliably used to save energy.
  • Energetic optimisation: the priority is to optimise your technical building equipment and building services management system. To do this, we first check how costs and benefits measure up. This is done using the estimated service life of your facilities. The next step involves finding the right measures to improve the energy efficiency of your company.
  • Project management: as your partner, we develop and directly implement the appropriate measures. Whether it's requesting quotes, creating orders or warranty management, your energy management concept is in the best hands with our project managers.

Energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1 and ISO 50001 certification

You are not a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)? Then you have three options:

  • perform an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1 every four years or
  • obtain certification according to ISO 50001 or
  • introduce an environmental management system according to EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme)

Certifications according to DIN EN ISO 50001 are more thorough than energy audits according to DIN EN 16247-1. Regardless of the option you choose: we will accompany you throughout the entire process. Our energy providers will support you during the energy audit and the certification process according to ISO 50001. Everything will be meticulously prepared, with the measures planned and implemented in your best interests. What we offer:

  • Energy management system: Have you already introduced an energy management system? We can maintain and develop it further. You are then well prepared for any future recertifications.
  • Energy audit: If you are not considered a small or medium-sized enterprise as defined by the EU, you are obligated to carry out energy audits. The first audit must have taken place by 5 December 2015 at the latest. A new one is then performed every four years. You're looking to successfully pass the audits? You can rely on our support from start to finish. Our experts are registered on the Energy Auditors List of the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control in Germany. They will ensure you are optimally prepared for the audit.
  • Internal audit according to ISO 50001: the purpose of the internal audit is to identify shortcomings in your energy management system. These are then rectified by our experts and any further possible issues are prevented. Energy management systems differ from company to company – and with them the audit requirements. We take the individual energy goals and operating procedures of your company into consideration. And we make sure your company meets all the demands of a successful external ISO 50001 certification. You can count on us to provide professional and focused audit support.
  • ISO 50001 certification: we have provided a solid foundation and compiled all the relevant information with our internal audit. Then comes an accredited certification body. This involves an external auditor who thoroughly inspects your energy management system. But don't worry! You won't be left to cope on your own. We will designate one of our experts as your point of contact. Armed with specific knowledge of your energy management system, he will accompany you along the entire certification process. Helping you avoid any misunderstandings or detours and reach your goal quicker than planned.
  • Sustainability certification according to the GEFMA 160: around 80 percent of the lifecycle costs of a property arise during operation. There is room for improvement here. Which is why we are involved with the German Facility Management Association (GEFMA) and work according to GEFMA 160 directive: "Sustainability in Facility Management". Because with a more sustainable facility management, you save costs. And protect the environment. These are convincing arguments. And, of course, we are there to support you throughout the entire certification process.
  • Support options: we are not the only ones to provide support. The Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control in Germany (BAFA) also promotes energy management. For example:
    • energy management systems in companies or
    • alternative systems or
    • further measures designed for the planning and evaluation of energy consumption

The goal here is to get effective measures off the ground for greater energy efficiency. Are you ready? We can advise you on the funding opportunities that specifically apply to your company.

Energy controlling and energy monitoring

We take measures that aim to improve your energy efficiency. One requirement here: detailed knowledge of your energy consumption. This is systematically recorded, documented and analysed by us. Energy management measures are then implemented by our experts to evaluate the energy status of your company:

  • Data collection: First, we determine the biggest energy consumers in your company and identify their consumption levels and costs. Consumption data is captured meticulously, regardless of whether it's performed manually or automatically.
  • Key energy data: In order to determine an energy efficiency level that is as close to reality as possible, we also take into account the situation in your company. For example, production quantities or the number of employees. The key figures are then derived from the consumption and company data. This then allows us to draw energy comparisons and identify trends.
  • Energy analysis: The next step involves a thorough analysis of your data. This provides us with an overview of the current energy supply in your company. The results then reveal the options and measures available for improving your energy efficiency.
  • Evaluation: Our experts then amalgamate the data and energy indicators before evaluating this information. It will now become clear where the main consumers are. Or what is causing the greatest energy losses. Using graphics and tables, we can identify the areas where there is potential for savings. The evaluation will also outline starting points for measures.
  • Documentation and reporting: We will always keep you up-to-date. Regular reports, where you will find all the important information, will document the current state of affairs. For example, the development of your consumption, as well as the measures recommended or implemented by us.

Together with your top management, the energy objectives are defined. Then we take a look at the current state of your property. Any equipment and machinery that is important for energy management will be highlighted. Our experts then carry out a rough analysis of the situation and evaluate the findings. This enables them to identify the greatest energy consumers and how these consumers influence your overall consumption. Initial saving potential is also presented. The appraisal can be broken down into the following steps:

  • Record and document data
  • Identify potential for improvement
  • Identify people who influence the energy consumption
  • Take statutory parameters into account
  • Define energy targets
  • Determine schedule of measures

Why you need to actively start saving energy

Your company is not considered a small or medium-sized enterprise as defined by the EU? Then you have no choice: energy services legislation has changed in Germany and you are now obligated to monitor your energy consumption and identify any potential for savings. Here, you have the following options:

  • perform an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1 or
  • introduce a certified energy management system according to ISO 50001 or
  • establish an environmental management system according to the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)

If this is the first time you have performed an audit, it will now need to be repeated every four years. We will support you here and provide you with the information you need regarding energy management, the ISO 50001 certification and energy audits.
